How Jackson-Scott Associates collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit jackson-scott.co.uk or get in touch with us.
Last updated: 16 September 2026
jackson-scott.co.uk is operated by H A & CO ACCOUNTANTS LTD (trading as Jackson-Scott Associates), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11177488. Our registered office is at Regal Court Business Centre, 42-44 High Street, Slough, SL1 1EL. We also operate from our long-standing Chessington office at 100 Gilders Road, Chessington, KT9 2AN. For the purposes of UK data protection law, H A & CO ACCOUNTANTS LTD is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
When you use this website, we may collect:
If you go on to become a client, we collect further personal data as part of client onboarding and ongoing accountancy work; that data is covered by the client privacy information provided separately when you engage us, not solely by this website policy.
Most personal data is given to us directly — for example, when you fill in our contact form, email us or call us. A small amount of technical data is collected automatically by the infrastructure that keeps this website running securely, as described in Section 8.
As a regulated accountancy practice, when you engage us as a client we are required by law to carry out identity verification and customer due diligence checks under the Money Laundering Regulations. This may involve processing additional personal data, sometimes with the help of third-party verification providers, and is explained separately as part of our client onboarding process.
We do not sell personal data. We may share it with HMRC, Companies House and other regulatory or professional bodies where necessary to deliver our services or comply with the law; with software providers such as Xero where you use those platforms as a client; and with the IT, hosting and security providers described in Section 8, who process data on our behalf under appropriate contractual terms.
This website does not use non-essential cookies and does not show a cookie consent banner, because none is required — we don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics scripts that need your consent.
The interactive calculators on this site (tax, VAT, payroll and other business calculators) run entirely in your browser. Figures you enter are used only to perform the calculation on your own device — they are never transmitted to, stored on, or otherwise seen by our servers.
This website is hosted and protected using Cloudflare's content delivery network and security services. Cloudflare helps protect the site against malicious traffic and improves loading performance, and may process limited technical data (such as IP addresses) as part of providing that service.
Contact form submissions are transmitted to our staff email inboxes using Resend, an email delivery service. Resend processes the name, email address, phone number and message content you submit solely in order to deliver that message to us, and does not use it for any other purpose.
Where any of our service providers process data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as the provider's participation in a recognised data protection framework or the use of standard contractual clauses.
We keep enquiry data only for as long as necessary to respond and for a reasonable follow-up period afterwards. Client records are retained for the periods required by law and professional regulation — accountancy and tax records are typically kept for at least six years.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures, including secure hosting via Cloudflare, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 18.
We do not send marketing emails unless you've asked us to. Where we do, you can opt out at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe option provided.
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page is always the current one, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
