Jackson-Scott Associates Chessington

Our History

Three and a half decades in the same Chessington office, under a few different names, with the same idea at the centre of it: give local businesses straightforward, personal accountancy advice.

1989

Sue Towner (then Sue Jackson-Scott) starts the practice as a one-person operation.

Early years

As the client base grows, the practice moves into premises at 100 Gilders Road, Chessington, and incorporates as Jackson-Scott Associates Limited.

2003

Angela Eden joins as co-director, and the practice continues to grow across Chessington and the wider Surrey area.

2012

Ian Cawley joins the team of directors.

2019

Sue Towner retires after founding and building the practice for three decades.

Today

Jackson-Scott Associates is part of the HA & CO group. The Chessington office, and the relationships built there over 36 years, continue — now with the wider resources of HA & CO's Slough and Chessington teams behind it.

What hasn't changed

A fixed-fee approach, agreed in advance so there are no surprises. Advice that looks forward — tax planning before the year starts, not a post-mortem once it's over. And a genuine local presence: the same Chessington address the practice has used since it first grew beyond a one-person operation.

What's new

Joining HA & CO means Chessington clients now have access to a larger team, Xero Gold Partner status, and specialisms — from tax investigations to company secretarial work — that a smaller local practice couldn't offer alone.

What we do

We specialise in small and medium-sized enterprises, helping sole traders, partnerships and limited companies with taxation, accountancy and everyday business questions. Our skilled, friendly team offers practical advice alongside the regular work of keeping your accounts in order.

Our services cover company formation, accounts preparation, Corporation Tax calculations and planning, payroll and PAYE, the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), and company secretarial work. Where you need other specialist help, including financial advice, we can put you in touch with our network of professional associates.

Our online bookkeeping service keeps income and expenditure organised, giving you more time to run your business. Combined with payroll, CIS or VAT support, it helps you keep your records up to date and meet changing HMRC requirements.

We aim to fill the gap larger practices can leave: personal service in a friendly, open environment, where you feel welcome to drop in and ask for advice as the need arises.
